Help the Needy Charitable Trust The charity had been operating in Iraq since 1991, however now wanted to launch on a professional footing in order to meet the immense challenges presented by the US led invasion of Iraq. GCC was commissioned to rebrand HTN, including logo, identity, website, brochure and infomercial. The re-launch took place with a special event called Save Iraq, held at the Marriot hotel, Regents Park, London on the 14th June 2008. This event was addressed by leading personalities such as Denis Halliday and Hans Von Sponeck (former UN Humanitarian Coordinators for Iraq) Lauren Booth (Journalist) and Steve McLaughlin (served in Iraq with the British army and author of ‘Squaddie’). The event generated in excess of £280,000 in pledges. For the GPU 2008, a unique concept was developed for HTN, with a cinema style fundraising set-up. Over 80 donors signed up standing order mandates, along with over 1200 contact data.
